It's always a pleasure using your cane! I find it very consistent and I always get great results. Thank you!
Thanks Don. I love your meticulous work.
Thank you so much Don. The oboe cane you sent is fantastic -- the best I have had in years.
I wanted to let you know that I have made my own reeds for years....hit a really bad reed cane processing slump (a couple months long). I was recommended to you by my colleague in a professional orchestra we play in together. Your cane immediately fixed the issues I was having. I am much less stressed, not having to process large amounts of cane for a while. I can spend that time working on the reeds and my playing as opposed to being stressed about gouging, etc. Thank you for such a great source and product!
Don, I love your cane - I enjoyed the shaped cane I bought from you last time, which seemed more consistent than my other suppliers. I’m ready to order another 50 pieces … schedule me monthly for same.
Thank you so much for the last order you sent to me! I appreciate your careful work and promptness. I am sending another order today. Thanks again!
I must tell you that I had saved a few pieces of the last batch you sent and recently used it for a series of concerts. They turned out very nice; very happy with the cane and staples, thanks for making available such good materials, I really appreciate it … I absolutely will be putting in an order for your English horn cane.
It is obvious that you take great care when processing the cane and I thank you for that. Thank you for your email, I will try your suggestions, here’s to great music and great reeds.
I really appreciate your taking such care in selecting this cane. I've ordered another 30 pieces and hope you will be able to do pretty much the same "sort" again. I love the texture of the sorted cane, and the diameter is right. Gouge is great.
Thanks Don for providing such a nice range of reed supplies - I appreciate the detail you include with your cane descriptions. I look forward to receiving more cane and staples in due course. I have just noticed that you are the go-to person on an IDRS forum posting about oboe d'amore reed dimensions, and that you invite the poster to contact you for a more detailed pdf file. If that is still available, I would greatly appreciate it as a reference tool - I am just beginning to play oboe d'amore, and my current teacher doesn't have a lot of reed-making help to offer.
Thanks, so much. I have been tying blanks correctly, but I can tell at first glance that I have been making both the heart and the tip too long, almost (but not quite) ending up with equal thirds--tip, heart, back. I'm putting two blanks in water right now! Excellent illustration, by the way. Thanks for your advice, again.
